Marketing The Technology
The marketing process begins with identifying companies and sending out a non-confidential abstract. OTMIR works closely with inventors to determine companies who may have the most interest in a technology. Interested companies are required to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) in order to view confidential information for a technology. NDA's protect the technical information from disclosure to outside parties, can prevent the forfeiture of valuable patent rights, and define exactly what information can and cannot be disclosed. Inventor are notified when an NDA is executed. This agreement protects inventors and enables them to talk directly with the company about their invention.
Companies interested in MU technologies can find non-confidential abstracts uploaded to Technology Search.
